Choose the right sale record
Start with the item type and the state where the agency process applies. Read the state requirements and open the official source before choosing an independent template.
Identify the parties and item
Use the full names of the seller, buyer and any other owners who need to sign. Identify the item precisely with its VIN, HIN, serial number or a detailed description, as applicable.
Record the actual agreement
Write the sale date, price, payment terms, included accessories, condition and known defects. Record actual promises rather than relying on a broad label such as as-is.
FTC guidance distinguishes express and implied warranties and explains why state law, a written warranty or a service contract can affect a disclaimer. This template does not waive every statutory right. Source
Review the PDF and official paperwork
Compare the completed PDF with your agreement and the official instructions. Sign on the printed copy, follow any applicable certificate process, and retain the title, application or other required agency documents separately.
